Feb. 9 (Bloomberg) — Mongolia, the Asian nation with some of the world’s largest untapped mineral resources, is considering setting up separate companies owning the country’s gold, copper and coal reserves and using investment banks to sell shares to global investors, the prime minister said.

July 31 (Bloomberg) — The dollar slumped to the lowest level of the year, U.S stocks climbed to a nine-month high and gold, oil and copper rallied after a smaller-than-forecast contraction in the economy sent investors to higher-yielding assets. Treasuries increased as inflation concern eased.

Gold futures rise nearly 1%, reclaiming the $935 mark and gaining for the first session in three, as rebounding crude-oil futures and a weaker dollar put traders in a mood to buy the precious metal. Economically sensitive copper stages a bigger rally.
